The annual Stroud Festival of Nature has been running since 2009. Until 2015, it was a single day event at Stratford Park attracting thousands of visitors. In 2015 it changed to a fortnight long festival with over forty individual events around the Stroud Valleys – walks, talks, exhibitions, practical conservation work, school workshops, site open days and more. The intention was to encourage people to explore through these events, the habitats and sites around them.
The festival will be running in 2016 and is likely to continue evolving as new people become involved and new ideas emerge. The success and benefits of the festival have been many. The photographs below give some flavour of previous events in 2012 and 2013
